Twitter can offer up some great insight on just about everything, particularly for certain niches. When it comes to the elderly, these accounts are great ones to follow.
.Mike Gamble: This is a man who has made it his journey to improve the life of senior citizens. He has a very unique point of view and an excellent following, and he knows what issues are important to senior citizens everywhere. Therefore he is by far the best Twitter account to follow when it comes to issues having to do with the elderly.
.DisabilityGov: This site pertains to many senior citizens as it has to do with disability that is unfortunately an issue across the board. If you are interested in learning the latest facts and figures or if you want to find out an answer to your most burning question, this is the account to turn to.
.Listorious: For those seniors who want to be in the know or who wish to look up anything on Twitter, this is the account to follow. It offers great insight but more importantly allows an individual to understand the ins and outs of Twitter which can be quite important at this age.
.Aging Well: All of the elderly want to uncover the secret to growing old gracefully and this might just help to do that very thing. You can learn quite a bit about what aging is really like and what it takes to care for yourself as you get older.
.Alacare: This can be a helpful resource as they happen to specialize in home care and hospice. Though it’s not a reality that the elderly like to face, sometimes outside care is required for them and this site can offer the best insight around.
.Elder Home Care: This is along the same lines but perhaps a bit more targeted to the elderly. If they want to find out what options are out there or simply wish to get insight for their caregivers, this can be an excellent resource to try out.
.HFA Hospice: This may be a helpful account to follow if a senior citizen is dealing with the illness of a spouse or friend or that of their own. This can help to offer insight on arrangements and alternative ideas when facing a difficult situation.
.The Daughter Trap: As this is written from the point of view of a daughter who acts as a caretaker to her elderly mother, it can offer insight to either party. Rather than trying to make it through some of the tough situations on your own, this account can really help tremendously.
.Fate Care: This is a more philosophical point of view on the elderly and the issues that they face, but nonetheless an interesting read. You can gain insight but more importantly see how others like you are coping with the most common issues.
.Elder Depot: As this woman cared for her elderly parents, she decided to turn that knowledge into a business of her own. The result is this business and this account that allows people to get the products that they need in order to care for their elderly loved ones. This is not only helpful but insightful and can help to serve all needs.
Growing old isn’t always the easiest thing, but keeping informed is a great help. Those who are older or who care for older loved ones can gain great insights from these accounts.
